Tin Cup

tincup_logoGiving Period: June 1, 2018 – July 27, 2018

The Tin Cup is an important event for Teton Valley Education Foundation as it covers all of our operating expenses and allows us to continue our work in the community. Here are the history and details of the event.

The Community Foundation of Teton Valley’s Tin Cup Challenge is both a campaign for giving and a one-day event celebrating our community’s spirit of generosity.  It is modeled after the groundbreaking Old Bill’s Fun Run for Charities hosted by our affiliate, the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole.

The 11th Annual Tin Cup Challenge fundraising period will open at 9 AM on Friday, June 1, 2018 and remain open until 5 PM on Friday, July 27, 2018.  During this period, the Tin Cup Challenger Fund motivates community members to give to their favorite qualified local nonprofits, knowing that their gifts will be matched by generous philanthropists and businesses, thus increasing the power of their gift.

On the third Saturday of July, (July 21, 2018) the Community Foundation of Teton Valley will host over 1,000 people at Driggs City Park for the 11th Annual Tin Cup Challenge.  The event will include 5K & 10K competitive races, a 5K Fun Run/Walk, and a celebration of community spirit and support featuring a free breakfast and fun family activities hosted by participating nonprofits.
