Two Holiday Fundraisers Tapped for December

Shop for Schools, Saturday, December 1st

Shop for Schools is a fundraising campaign that encourages the community to support local businesses.  It’s a perfect complement to your local shopping list that benefits only your public schools, but is a great way to say thank you to local businesses that have supported benefits, fundraisers, booster clubs and community events all year long.  Annually, local businesses come together to donate a portion of their proceeds to benefit the Teton Valley Education Foundation.  December 1stis slated for Shop for Schools.  Support your local schools and businesses by doing your holiday shopping on Saturday, December 1st.  Participating businesses are donating a portion of December 1stsales to Teton Valley Education Foundation.  The Shop for Schools fundraiser began six years ago when Peaked Sports donated 20 percent of its sales one Saturday to TVEF to buy equipment for the winter sports program.  The following year, Dick Weinbrandt, owner of Peaked Sports, challenged other businesses to follow suit. Support your local schools; support your local businesses.  Participating businesses will be advertised through the local papers.

Ride and Dine, Thursday, December 13th

A ride in the school bus has never been like this before; carols, cocktails, and camaraderie are on tap for the 2nd Annual Ride and Dine, slated for Thursday, December 13.  Enjoy a tantalizing three-course dinner with each course hosted by a different restaurant in Teton Valley.  Be sure to get your ticket early and help our schools ring in the holidays by supporting this wildly successful three-course, local, progressive holiday dinner with transportation between restaurants in a school bus.  The evening features raffle prizes that are sure to keep the evening entertaining!  Tickets are $55.00 per person or $100.00 per couple.  The busses leave at 6:00 pm sharp!  Tickets may be purchased at the Teton School District office during regular business hours at 445 North Main Street in Driggs.
