Hearing and Vision Screening

The Teton Valley Education Foundation offers annual hearing and vision screening in Teton County’s elementary schools through a partnership with the Idaho Eastern Region Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation.

Backpacks for Kids

This year, the TVEF partnered with the Community Foundation of Teton Valley, Teton Valley Health Care, The Rotary Club of Teton Valley, Corner Drugstore, King’s Variety Store and Subs for Santa to purchase school supplies and backpacks for students whose families may be experiencing financial difficulties and cannot afford school supplies.

VOICE Student-to-Student Mentoring

The TVEF funds Teton High School’s VOICE program each year. The VOICE Student to Student Mentoring Program is an ongoing program where positive older students have a strong VOICE to influence younger students.

ArtReach

Art Reach is another long-term program funded by the TVEF. Through our support, a certified art teacher provides two art class per month to K-5 students.

Expedition Yellowstone

Each year, TVEF seeks funding to support important out-of-the-classroom learning sessions such as Expedition Yellowstone and Teton Science School.

Robotics

Robotics is a program partially funded by TVEF where students learn how to design, prototype, build, program and troubleshoot a machine that will compete with other machines across the nation.

TVEF Classroom Grants

Each year, TVEF sets aside approximately $15,000 to support teachers with equipment, supplies, books, technology and field trips. You, as donors, help make these funds possible! TVEF Classroom grants are distributed in September, January and March!

Post-Secondary Scholarships

TVEF is currently fulfilling four-year scholarships awarded from 2010-2015. No new scholarships are being awarded until these current scholarships are completed.

Teton High School Academic Awards Banquet

The top 10% of Teton High School’s senior class will be recognized on Thursday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. at The Wildwood Room. This academic awards banquet will also recognize the most significant public school educators in these students’ lives. Tickets are $45 each and can be purchased at Teton High School’s main office until April 27 and after that a nominal amount of tickets to the banquet will be sold until August 27. The students being recognized are, in alpha order: Kate Blair, Amber Chambers, Abigial Dominque, Avery Kunz, Kate McKellar, Crystal Moosman, Allan Moulton, Hanna Palmer, Cali Pennick and Meghan Quinlan.

We work closely with school and district leadership to support critical projects that can not be funded within the school district’s budget. We invite you to contribute your time, talents and dollars to help us bring unique educational programs into every school, provide competitive grants for teachers and staff, and coordinate a cadre of dedicated classroom and school volunteers.
